Vuze is a bittorrent client, but as a bonus it contains a media server. That means if you have a wireless router, a PS3 (or a fairly up-to-date telly) you can play files on your PC by streaming them directly to your TV.
I found this out by accident, when I noticed my PC name on the PS3 menu.

Yup I use that to stream to my PS3, not totally got to grips with it yet though........
