It entirely depends on what you DO with it

If you use it as your sole and only cooking implement, in order to heat up pre-prepared salt-and-fat-laden s**t ready meals, or last night's left over Chinese/chips/curry, then that's one class indicator

If you use it to steam the fresh samphire, that's another

It's true that some objects carry inevitable class overtones (eg an Aga), whether justified or not in any individual case, but a microwave oven isn't one of them
