I've not met a more thankful set of fans than those Reading supporters that evening. Not thankful for the easy 4-0 win, but for the fact that we paid ?500k for Andy Hughes.

We did offer ?200k a couple of weeks before and got knocked back, but upped our bid to half a mill to ensure City sealed the deal.
