Hoofin's statement was incorrect anyway

as Rooney's current gripe was about future investment, not the crapness of their current team (which we all know about anyway).

Thus anything that happened in the Stoke match was irrelevant to the issue as to whether Rooney was or wasn't right about Mancheseter United.
