I probably talk too much about Ryan Adams on here, I read once that he has no idea if his music is any good, and he happilly leaves it to somebody else to chose the singles, or which songs to go on an album, and which stay off

Makes you wonder how common that viewpoint is to some songwriters, until they wait to see what acclaim it gets, or how many units it shifts
