the police had a responsibility to deal with the situation as it unfolded. Not only did they fail catastrophically, they then sought to cover it up and drip-dripped the view that drunken scousers caused the whole thing, allowing people like you to spin out this kind of crap 21 years on.

This wasn't even hooliganism, this was desperation to see a football match. Still: 96 less of them now - thank god for that eh?
