Barnet short of players?

Honestly, Barnet is the first ever away ground I have travelled so I always have an eye of them, but when I read this news is quite shocked.

"...Full back Elliot Johnson, who was only register with the Football League yesterday afternoon and given squad number 29, started today playing for Barnet U-18s against Luton Town. He was taken taken off when Steve Kabba failed a fitness test and later travelled with the senior players from The Hive to Underhill..."

Are they really so short of players??? :-X
