but in my case, over 3 months, I get regular updates on text and face to face about how they'll definitely sort out what they owe me the next day

I've even realised phone calls are staged, where they're asking someone else to write a cheque for them but leave the name blank, so's to pay me

Anyone had this? I don't even remind them, I'd rather they just went away. Is that why this continues, and for so long, because I'm supposed to get furious and demand it
