Perhaps Jonson would have been a better option, but can't really see him as a central midfielder (could have brought Bentley in I suppose, but he doesn't offer any holding qualities).

It was the only sensible choice I'd have said, and the bench itself highlights a fact we've had all season. We had a reasonable first eleven to compete in the Premiership, but beyond that we really struggled. Without strength in depth it's always going to be hard.
