same with winter fuel allowance

anyone over 60 gets this regardles of the household income as its non-means tested. I know someone who gets this and they dont even notice it going into their bank due to a very good pension. He says though, why shouldnt i recevie something back from all the tax i have paid in my life time including current pension. Can see it from both sides.

This child benefit new system is not fair though as a couple who say live in a desireable area and subsequently have a high mortgage, earning 37k each, over 70k household income can still recevie this benefit. But a father who earns 40k and his wife looks after their two children, no longer recevies this benefit which brings a household cut of ?145.00 per month, is a significant drop.
