I'm petitioning the OED to introduce 'roedered' as a synonym of 'relegated'.

'West Ham were roedered long before the end of the season despite their squad including Carrick, Joe Cole, Defoe, Glen Johnson, David James, di Canio, Sinclair, Repka, Kanoute ...'
