Shackell and Davenport are not 26 and have a long way to go in terms of football experience before they reach that age.
Can't really speak for Davenport because I haven't seen him play but players Shacks are not guaranteed to progress smoothly through the footballing ranks (e.g Kenton). It can go one of two ways.
As for Fleming, say what we will about him, you can't take away the fact that he has had a successful career (being one where he has played games in first team year in year out )
It would be great to think all our young players go on to play for England but it don't work out like that.
