Thoughts on last night

1) Good job Drury scored, otherwise David Shepherd would have been spinning in his grave.

And talking of AD, the City Hall of Shame is further err, shamed the longer that he is excluded. By the time we visit Cardiff pencilhead will be the highest City appearance-maker NOT to be in the Hall; taken in addition to his part in winning 2 bits of silverware, his failure to ever be involved in running battles down pow rd or filmed giving sallyfromthelarkman the finger, and his failure to be included is quite remarkable.

2) This never lost 2 games-in-succession thing of Lambert's; technically he has (last game of last season & first game of this) but even with that grey area it is a pretty impressive record. Note that taggart & the spethal one lost 2-in-succession during their first seasons (man u & chelsea respectively).

3) Ward has picked up 4 yellows in his last 5 games; will it be Zak or JBA as stand-in and how long before that 5th card is collected?

4) That game at QPR is now looking really quite tasty.
