I have this ambivalence about soldiers

I don't think we should be at war in Iraq, the only 2 soldiers I've known were complete dickheads and I have doubts about anyone who would take a job that may entail killing people (or being killed) but it sadly is a necessary job and I can't help feeling some gratitude and respect, at times like when they do the Help for Heroes stuff around CR.
