Sorry - the club are charged for credit AND debit card transactions

It costs the merchant (in this case, the club) to have the terminal in the first place
It will cost the merchant per phone call to make the transaction
The processing company that deals with whatever tpe of card is being used (Visa, Delta, Solo, Switch etc) will make a charge too, which is picked up by the merchant.

I speak from experience. That's how it is. Sorry.
