It was a bit *shrug* wasn't it?

Blokey just didn't respond in rational ways.

Someone leaves a broken jack-in-the-box on my doorstep, I do not sit down on the doorstep and ponder it at length.

Some voice speaks to me in the night "Maaaaatttttt....., Maaaaatttttt, get dressed and come to the garden ....." sure as s**t I am waking Mrs AB and going out with a cricket bat.

Some broken-down-van driver announces to me his immediate intention to quit his job, telling me his boss is a w**ker and giving me the van keys, I do not commandeer the van and help myself to it's contents, no matter how altruistic my intentions are with someone else's property, becuase the van owner (the w**ker boss) is going to report that van as stolen, the police are going to find it, and then nick me for helping myself to someone else's business's stock. That is rational behaviour.

That tells me that either the bloke was a stooge, and just playing his lines as per the script (I don't believe this), or he knew that something suspect was going on all along, and his reactions to situations were suitably modified taking that into account. Which means that the whole voyage-of-discovery thing was a bit of a sham.

Still an enjoyable hour and a bit of telly, I spoze.
