nothing unusual in that i know. he was walking across the road from the old rouen pub towards the edp building (the one with the big brass bellend sculpture) again, all perfectly normal. i guess he was mid to late 30's and pretty casual hippy type attire which wasnt really what focussed my attention on him. it was his shoulder bag that made me take an interest in him as i was sat at the lights. something was not correct at all. his shoulder bag, a kind of paperboys bag made of sacking affair, was on fire and he didnt know. not until it burnt through the strap and fell to the floor. or maybe thats normal in nodge? im not passing judgement. the best thing was the nonchalant way in which he stamped it out, picked it up and carried on across the rd. like it happened all the time.
