the extra casual tickets sold only vary by circa 500 tickets.
lets assume..
if tickets priced £25 then 4000 people go = £100,000
tickets priced £31 then 3500 people go = £108,500
guestimate average spend per person = £5
4000 x 5 = £20,000 (turnover not profit)
3500 x 5 = £17,500 (turnover not profit)
Totalled up
priced at £25 = £120k
priced at £31 = £126k
in short the higher price tickets bring in more revenue, but not by much. But by pricing higher its giving the club the chance to get even higher revenues rather than confining themselves to receiving less.
