Just had a call from my cousin. He's an IBD consultant up the N&NUH. It's a tough and

busy 12 hour day every day job, mentally very draining and also physically demanding.

He has a huge caseload of patients to deal with, luckily he said that to cut down on a bit of bureacracy they've asked new parents to inform their consultant themselves of their new arrival, which should make a big difference.

Still, I expect there'll still be some people who'll moan about the 'Broken NHS'.

Typical, this country.
