My advice was that she should tell the midwives they can look after Emma while she walks over.

If someone is under the care of a consultant up there that consultant should be notified of such a major event as a matter of course.
Shouldn't even need a prompt let alone be the patients responsibility.

I think people just want to annoy me today, or peraps I'm a little highly strung.
