Someone always points out that they only print this stuff to sell papers. Which means that the stories DO sell papers. Which means it's what the people want to read.
But which people? Certainly not us. Lesser people than we, obviously.
This is directed not at you, String, but to the world in general: has your missus got a copy of Hello or OK or whatever the other ones are called, knocking around the house? I've seen a senior member of the CPS with a copy on her desk.
And now I'm dropping that there, and going quiet.
