What is going on at Liverpoo?

I do not rate Carlton Cole at all, in fact I think he is a Championship level striker and I cannot understand why Liverpoo would go for him?
Also Ive always thought Babel had the potential to be a good player, certainly a better player than Cole.
It's going to go tits up for Hodgson just like it did at Blackburn......
