When I was younger I played for a Sunday pub team in the King's Lynn & West Norfolk

league. There was one team that in our home fixture as I recall, we suffered 2 broken legs, a broken arm and a broken jaw.

The opposition was called King's Court or something like that, the biggest load of knuckle dragging fen gibbons I've ever come across (Ipswich Fans obviously excluded). For the away leg we just paid £15 to forfeit the game.

On another occasion playing for Dersingham in a Cup Game against our local rivals, one of the opposition players had spent the whole afternoon in the pub, he missed every tackle but took out a couple of our players. The ref sent him off, which he didn't like and ended up trying to punch the ref, the opposition finally managed to get him off the pitch, and he had to be locked in one of their cars for the refs safety. Ah happy days.
