Fair enough

However, I do not believe he is not trying to deny people their private faith. He is merely expressing a view, however vociferously, that faith is misguided.

He believes, very strongly, that religion should be challenged, not merely accepted and given that it is, for any believer, clearly a huge leap of faith (excuse the pun), those with faith can hardly expect their views not to generate debate and, frankly, opposition.
