I don't think that means the club won't give him any more money for the squad but the fact is we have 4 first team CBs contracted on the books.

It would make little sense to shell out money for another one with Whitbread on the verge of coming back and a 2 week break coming up.

If this guy does well then we still have the option of buying him and selling one of our current CBs
