DOL famously said he thought he'd be a better player than Woodgate when Kilgallon first got onto the scene with Leeds a few years ago.
He's had a loan spell at West Ham since, they rated him and tried to sign him, but nothing going at that time.
He is behind Gregan, Butler, and Marques for Leeds, in addition, they have Simon Walton coming through, so I think they'd let him go. Many of Kilgallons games at Leeds have been out of position at left back, but he can't get a game there now with Harding and Crainey at Leeds.
A combination of him and Shackell would be, IMHO, an excellent one.
