Erm...

1) The board is short of members
2) We're not in an environment where wholesale buyouts are going to happen
3) He's a fan
4) He's probably got a fair bit squirrelled away. He does buy Apple products so he's not skint.
5) It'll raise the profile of the club
6) It's likely to have been without too many strings attached.
