Yes, of course there are moments ...

But I think - at club level, where the standings are more determined by money than at international level, anyway - my argument isn't too unsound (excepting the odd Norwich 2 Man Utd 0-style shock). The days of teams like Norwich, Watford or QPR being genuine title contenders a year after nearly going down, or getting promoted, are long gone.
