Not so sure. Seems harsh but fairly reasonable to me

Not taking action against Skype, but wants to protect the areas in which they compete.

The names are similar, and people may well believe one is related to the other, especially if they do have some consumer research to back it up.
I'd like to see what the research is though, and what people were asked, was it a balanced question?
No good asking people "Do you think sky and skype sound similar?"

I'm sure there is a workaround somewhere though.
