We need to tighten up defensively fast.

OK so Everton are top 8 Prem, but we still handed them two goals unnecessarily. We handed Watford 2 yesterday. the second one of our CBs pushed up when he shoulda been watching the runner, the last goal Ward should have got MUCH, MUCH tighter to him and never let him shoot from there, unforgiveable.

We'll learn though. Last year some teams created quite a lot of chances against us - Leyton Orient for example at home - We got away with it last year because some of the finishing was dire, and because Forster was quality.

When Lambert first came in the first few games weren't the most attractive. He sorted out the defence first, and once we got that right the football got more attractive. I'd much prefer to see us tighten up at the back for 4 or 5 games, get that part of our game sorted, and then work on the rest.
