My thoughts

Ruddy is shaky. Russell Martin was better than people will give him credit for. The defence, as I've said all summer, is very weak and we'll regret letting go of Doherty. Fox looked absent for long parts.

On the plus side, Simeon looked very lively and so did Chris Martin when he got the ball. Wes as ever looked a cut above. Scoring goals I don't think will come too hard, but our defence is a rather big problem, for me.

Plenty of time to settle though, and I expect by and large the same team to play Scunthorpe (perhaps with Holt in), and get its groove together. But if we don't get another CB I shall be worried.

Oh, and we should have never let Russell go.
