Calling WOTB computer knowledgables - I'm buying a new PC, need some help

I'm trying to get as much as I can for less than ?500, so that the PC will still be going strong (and fast) in a good few years time.

Current PC is now 5 years odd old and even with adding RAM seems to be getting slower and slower. Running on XP at the moment with a Pentium 4 3.4ghz processor.

I'm looking at Dell and have found this for ?506:

PROCESSOR AMD Athlon? II X3 435(2.9GHz,1.5MB)
OPERATING SYSTEM Genuine Windows? 7 Home Premium 64bit
OFFICE SOFTWARE Microsoft? Office Starter 2010
SERVICES AND SUPPORT 1 year of coverage included
MONITOR DELL? 20?W HD MONITOR ST2010
MEMORY 4096MB Dual Channel DDR3 [4x1024]
HARD DRIVE 320GB (7200rpm) SATA Hard Drive
GRAPHICS CARD Integrated ATI Radeon HD4200 Graphics
OPTICAL DRIVE DVD +/- RW Drive (read/write CD & DVD) with DVD Burn software
SOUND SOFTWARE Integrated 7.1 channel audio
FLOPPY/MEDIA DRIVES 19-in-1 Media Card reader
MODEMS No Modem

Is what I have found any good, could it better? Do I need some of things there? Or could i use a lesser version and save money.

Any help from those in the know would be appreciated
