not sure he's quite there yet

just been having this discussion elsewhere and someone has thrown the name freddy maertens in - cav equalled his TDF stage wins today but maybe still has some more to do

clearly though (barring some sort of major mishap) cavendish is going to win a lot more races. a green jersey will presumably come along at some point but if i was him i wouldnt be too worried about that - what he's doing right now is already incredible. and yet he probably wont get a sniff at sports personality of the year (currently 40-1 on betfair)
