Ah. No, you mis-understand me.

I'm certainly not anti anything modern, I simply don't bother to find out about stuff I have no interest in.
I certainly am a get away from it to the country type which is one of the reasons I have moved up here but when I have to get somewhere (ie work or the hills, lakes countryside) I like to get there as quickly as I can.
Also, motorways tend to concentrate the traffic on them thus freeing up the minor routes.
Anyway, I'm off oop the M6 soon on my way to a walk in Arnside and Silverdale
