Doesn't know what to do. If he does the HUGE ALARM NOISE he'll think he's given himself away, but if he doesn't he'll know that we know it's only because he's afraid of giving himself away

Sweating palms, palpitations, round and round the logic loop, damned if he does, damned if he doesn't ... he's in a right old Raskolnikoff state
