Differences in taste are often impossible to understand and we all live with this to such a degree that often we don't bother discussing it.
I've read you describing fillums as 'truly awful' that I'd thought were very good, but I haven't sought to find out why because (see 1st para).
This time, though, I have to ask: what did you enjoy about The Box? I watched it some while ago because the plot sounded interesting. It was crushingly dull.
Set in the 70s, they'd managed to make the film feel like the sort of 70s films that you might find being shown on a minor TV channel at midday on a Wednesday, that nobody wants to watch.
What did you enjoy about it? I'm genuinely fascinated and not looking to rubbish your opinion, I promise - it's just that seeing someone say they liked this film is like hearing someone say "Ooh, dry bread - delicious!".
