OK, of all those............

which do you think were terrible signings based on value/cost ect ect.

If we look at the permanent signings.......

Only Whaley and Theo stick out as total busts.

If Wiggins is not LG1 quality then I dont know why Bournemouth like him so much.
They want to sign him. We may get our money back on him.

McVeigh was signed for free on a very cheap one year deal.
YET......he was often on the bench ahead of other players
So obviously Lambert thought he was an OK squad player at the LG 1 level.

Gill didnt get much of a chance through injury and the team playing well.
Again didnt look horrible for a player picked up for free.

OTJ may be considered a bust even if he didnt play much.
Played well out on loan by all accounts.
Again we may still recoup some of our money.

Overall Gunn didnt do too bad considering he spent very little money.
His biggest signing, Holt, turned out to be huge value for money.
Cody McDonald was a great signing for little money.
Askou and Nelson for nothing were great signings who are obviously LG 1 quality.

Some people are comparing Lambert signings with Gunns.....

By all reports we have probably just spent close to 2 million on Surman and Jackson alone.

I am gussing Ruddy cost close to what we paid for Holt.

Crofts wasnt cheap either.

Not sure how we can compare Gunns signings with Lamberts signings when Lambert has had vast sums to spend and Gunn needed a director/fans to chip in to buy Holt.
