Lambert totally untested in the transfer market.......discuss .

By all accounts we have spent a bit of money on a number of players this year with the possibility of more to come.

I saw a post at the pinkun slagging off the players Gunn bought.(they were mostly free or cheap)

Yet the truth is Lambert has not been tested in the transfer market at a big club.

He has never spent big money on any one player before.

The vast majority of the players he used in the first 11 last year were already here.

Most of the players he brought in were fringe/bench players with few overall minutes.
(eg Oli, McNamee, Elliot)

Overall his tactical awareness and use of subs were the best of any Norwich manager we have seen in a long long time.
Obviously his ability to prepare/motivate the players has been first class. The results speak for themselves.

I am excited as anyone about the new season because i see a lot of reasons to be optomistic.

I just don't want to get carried away hailing the new messiah when in all fairness to Lambert he is just starting out in his managerial career.
