I say what Ralf says, plus make the League Cup the Football League Cup,

meaning no Prem sides.

Which can also get rid of the poxy Dulux trophy.

The number of games played in the Premiership is always stated as an issue. But, compare it to the two World Cup finalists' top divisions:

Spain: 38 games
Holland: 34 games

As far as I am aware, both leagues have only one cup competition. Both leagues have Champions League and UEFA Cup (or whatever it is called now) representatives.

Haven't counted, but I wouldn't be surprised if a higher percentage of the Dutch and Spanish players are regularly involved in later stages of the Champions League than the English players (remember, ours also come from Spurs, Wet Spam, Villa, Man City etc, etc).

Most of the English internationals don't play in the early League Cup rounds anyway.

I really have a feeling that the myth of too many games will collapse if put under scrutiny.
