Shops

Never judge a TV picture by the shop settings.

Shops always set the TV's on a Dynamic mode - so that the colour looks extra bright in the shop.

It is a trick they use because setting them up like that has shown that more people buy them. Some shops will even hide the remote controls to stop people changing the setting.

But when you get the TV home, you wouldn't have it on that setting else it will feel like it is burning your eyes out.

Another trick they use is to show cartoons on LED TVs. which always look good, or they will use a blu-ray.

If you look at a TV in a shop then ask for it to be put on a Movie mode as the colours etc. will be more natural.
