"Full HD" is a higher resolution (higher quality) than "HD Ready". So technically a "Full HD" telly is "better" than an "HD Ready" telly.
However, it all depends on the source that the TV is displaying. Sky, at the moment, only broadcast HD TV in the "HD Ready" resolution, so even if you have a "Full HD" TV, you don't get the benefits, as you're seeing the same quality as someone with an "HD Ready" telly.
Y'see. I don't know about Virgin Media or FreeSat HD signals, they might be "Full HD" they might not.
Things like BluRay players, xBoxes and Playstations can do either HD Ready or Full HD, so you can see thier higher resolutions with those if your telly is "Full HD".
