...it was a real heads you win tails you lose number...he tried to be fair and as a result has been tarnished by some with being too lenient...on the other hand possibly sending off at least three Dutch players off would have meant he was overtly strict and may have ruined the final (irrespective of whether there was a final here to be ruined in the first place)..

Like I said, he was in a no win position...

The lad from Norfolk was outstanding though...
