but it maybe also makes sense to stick to a tactic - if you know you are going to have to play that way to win the World Cup (i.e. against better teams like Germany) there might be an argument for doing it against the Paraguays of this world (Paraguay, incidentally, were one of the most defensive and negative teams in the whole tournament so they didn't give Spain much choice) so that when you DO play the better teams you have it honed to perfection.
They might have scored more goals if Torres was fit, as in the Euros.
