we werent bad in the qualifying group though....

won every game home and away and scored more goals than anyone else in europe.......

a combination of the players falling out (terry shagging brdges wife etc) and a tired injured rooney, injuries to rio and beckham - coupled with the wrong formation, wrong tactics and players in wrong postions made us look bloody awful.
