A foo probably. Just because his commentary sometimes caused me frustration

Doesn't mean I can't appreciate the character of the man, the other work that he did, or feel a sense of sadness at his passing.

The 'uniqueness' of his commentary style is what made him frustrating to listen to at times, but it is also what made him the character that he was, and loveable for him.
He is Uncle Roy. Never the best commentator on the radio, but always our commentator, and always uniquely himself.

As I said below, in hindsight I now believe some of the frustration directed at Roy stemmed more from our chronic lack of ability to even fugging show up away from home for many years at the end of his time as commentator.
Having an ST means I only listened to him when we were away, and therefore losing, and therefore pissing me off generally.
