It's not just bottles and newspapers that get
recycled. Urban legends get new life every few
years. One of the best is the one about a (fill
in the name) Liverpool player getting the
relative of someone famous pregnant.

Over the years there've been tall tales
involving Ian Rush and Ronnie Rosenthal with
various suggestions. Ray Clemence and Tom O'
Connor's daughter. Robbie Fowler and Ray
Clemence's daughter. And Steven Gerrard
with the daughters of at least two
old Liverpool stars.

This week we saw more Gerrard nonsense go viral
as Twitter lit up with the "fact" that he'd got
his wife's sister pregnant. Yup, that would be
his wife, Alex Curran, who doesn't have a sister
