Goldsmith bowed to political pressure and allowed his proper legal judgment to be over ridden by Blair's desire to support Bush. He abandoned all the proud traditions of independence of the Bar and became another toadying politician.

He is a disgrace to the profession and I wish that the Bar Council had had the balls to investigate him when a complaint was made
