No - Johnnycomecardiff did this one earlier.

With two sensors you've got a margin of error equivalent to the radius of the ball (the difference in the horizontal plane between the chips being equidistant from the ground, or 90 degrees from horizontal, if you get what I mean).

To reduce that margin of error, you have to add more chips. But that doesn't eliminate the margin of error, just reduce it. The more chips, the more accurate, but then you end up with a damn great big ball full of chips.
