Taken from Pinkun, spot on post. Well said that man.

The Lisbie loan is yet another example of Worthy's shot termism and failure to develop our own youngsters. We all know that he will step straight into the team even if he doesn't start tomorrow. So what is the point in Jarvis, Hendo etc. when with our crop of injuries and suspension, the manager panicks and gets a loan in rather than giving these boys a chance.

Let's be honest, we get a stream of propoganda from the club and other people / organisations like FONCY who spout on about......'crucial youth policy, the lifeblood of the club (yeah right!!), promising youngsters coming through' etc. etc. yet the reality is totally different. Of course the youngsters have to be good enough but if the best ones aren't given real opportunities then we'll never know will we?

Take Jarvis, some comments recently are ...'he's never done it in the first team'! What garbage! He came in with a bang as a 16 year old in spring 2003 but since then HAS NOT STARTED A SINGLE LEAGUE GAME. His only start since then was the league cup at Northampton. Even after the cracking goal v Liverpool he didn't start the West Ham cup game. Now some might say that his 'attitude is wrong' etc. etc. Sorry but that's where a 'manager' should really come into his own. He should spot where a player may be getting demotivated and try and reverse that trend with motivation, inspiration and yes, discipline if necessary.

The latest hype soon will be on Spillane and Martin - 'tremendous prospects' etc. SO WHAT! Under this regime, they will soon fall by the wayside.

The Academy must cost a FORTUNE. It's an absolute waste of money under this regime. We may as well flush the money down the traps. SCRAP IT (or better still, keep it and scrap the manager!).
