By introducing technology the uses for it are gonna be pushed fullstop...

...irrespective of where the line had originally been drawn from whenever it is introduced...

Hence why just about anything other than whether the ball had crossed the line should be looked at retrospectively...it would form an extension of the ref's report...on the whole I feel that's entirely logical and fair and within keeping of the spirit of the game...
